Job Summary

Direct and manage design and construction of correctional facilities, ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget while overseeing scope development and project management plans. Plan, direct, and supervise technical, fiscal, and administrative functions, including establishing health and safety, quality assurance, and procurement protocols. Collaborate with team members and education management to develop budgets and schedules, rectify cost overruns or delays, and administer change orders. Participate in labor relations, negotiations with regulatory agencies, and public meetings as required. Requires 15 years of experience in design/build correctional facilities in California, a PE preferred, and BA/BS in Construction Management or related field.

Required Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field
  • Minimum 15 years of related work experience including demonstrated experience as either an owner or owner representative
  • Previous Design/Build experience of a jail or correctional facility in the state of California
  • Proven ability to perform in a leadership capacity
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations

Desired Qualifications

  • PE Preferred
  • Knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized and leveraged
