Senior Project Manager - Mining

Job Summary
Manage multi-disciplined engineering and project delivery teams, including hybrid in-person and remote members, while demonstrating foresight in solving routine and unusual project challenges. Prepare project work plans, budgets, and schedules for studies, detailed design, and construction support, then monitor cost, schedule, and quality performance to take corrective action as necessary. Lead project meetings, drive efficiency, and supervise discipline resources to prepare deliverables such as drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for mining and industrial infrastructure. Proactively manage scope and change management, supervise project gating deliverables, and mentor high-potential employees. Work with business line leaders to ensure compliance with internal approval requirements and collaborate with clients to provide long-term solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years' relevant industry experience OR Technical Diploma and 10+ years' relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience in pursuing and winning opportunities in Canada with a strong reputation in the Canadian mining market
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 20+ years of progressive experience in the mining field with an emphasis on materials handling, mine waste management, mining infrastructure and project execution in Canada
- Project Manager responsibility for at least three (3) prefeasibility or feasibility studies with capital value +$100M
- Project experience in both open pit and underground mining sectors
- Fluent capability in spoken and written communications in the French and English languages
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
