Job Summary
Monitor cost, schedule, and performance of related projects to ensure overall program and regional success, coordinating all resources and stakeholders for active initiatives. Develop annual and longer-term plans supporting strategic objectives and portfolio planning, while prioritizing projects and associated resource allocation. Assist regional leadership by managing high-impact smaller-scale projects, providing technical guidance, and reviewing proposed estimates, scopes, and purposes. Facilitate stakeholder requirements, expectations, and communications across the organization to ensure alignment around program goals. Create decision point timelines and utilize tools to assist senior leadership in strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of construction/mining project management
- Bachelor's Degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Strategic thinking and long-term vision
- Excellent communication; written, verbal, and visual
- Working knowledge of design, construction, and pit development
- Estimation and planning skills
- Strong understanding of project budgeting and general accounting processes
- Project Management methodology, tools and techniques as defined by Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Project Management software experience – i.e. MS Project, MS Office
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings and bid packages
Desired Qualifications
