Job Summary
Manage industrial construction projects from planning through commissioning by maintaining a strong field presence on active manufacturing sites. Coordinate contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts while ensuring OSHA compliance and quality standards. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and lead meetings to communicate risks and milestones to leadership. Review drawings, RFIs, and documentation to verify work meets specifications and implement proactive solutions for project objectives. Maintain detailed reporting throughout the lifecycle while building relationships with plant personnel and executive stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience within industrial construction environments
- Demonstrated experience managing projects on active/live construction sites
- Strong understanding of industrial construction sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics
- Proven ability to successfully manage complex industrial construction projects from inception through completion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage contractors, field personnel, plant leadership, and executive stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail in project documentation, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial construction safety practices
- Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced construction environment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Experience with Lean Construction methodologies
- Proficiency with: Procore
- Proficiency with: Primavera P6
- Proficiency with: Microsoft Project
- Proficiency with: Bluebeam
- Experience supporting manufacturing, food processing, industrial, warehouse, or distribution facility construction projects
- Experience managing design-build or fast-track construction projects
