Job Summary
Develop design, procurement, and construction contracts during pre-construction phases while directing engineers and site managers to meet milestones safely, on schedule, and within budget. Manage engineering, procurement, and construction activities for multiple wind and thermal energy projects, including budgeted cost forecasting and capital spending oversight. Lead a team through design, construction, commissioning, and operations, providing periodic updates to senior management on progress and issues. Foster a safety awareness culture and assist with technical due diligence alongside process improvements and quality audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related study
- 10 years of experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects
- 5 years' experience in project development or management
- Demonstrated oral and written communication
- effective negotiating and dispute resolution skills
- Proficiency using personal computer tools such as Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master
- Ability to travel 20%
- Must be a citizen of the country of the vacancy to legally work in that country

- A working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration
