Job Summary
Manage environmental projects from initial assessment through remediation and close-out, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery for catastrophic events and insurance losses. Lead technical direction for regional teams, coordinate insurance services across disciplines, and serve as the primary contact for job setup, contracting, billing, and invoicing. Prepare proposals, supervise subcontractors, and mentor technologists on-site while maintaining QA/QC standards and provincial compliance. Grow regional business by building client relationships and supporting marketing initiatives, while collaborating with national leadership to allocate resources for emergency responses.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 12+ years in environmental consulting
- 8+ years in project management
- 6+ years working with Insurance adjusters/restoration contractors
- Skilled in water loss and mould investigations
- Skilled in smoke and fire damage assessments
- Skilled in hazardous materials surveys
- Skilled in remediation
- Skilled in post-disaster IEQ investigations
- Familiarity with building systems
- Familiarity with current provincial/federal regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
- Proven ability to maintain budgets
- Proven ability to resolve issues proactively
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to deliver clear reports
- Ability to reassure clients during stressful situations
- Proven experience building, leading, and mentoring multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable in fast-paced, unpredictable environments
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to respond to urgent situations outside normal hours
- Committed to health and safety best practices
- Relevant training in hazard assessments
