Job Summary
Lead projects coordinating and streamlining operations to increase efficiency and improve processes for the MEDVAMC research portfolio. Draft reports and written correspondence to facilitate communication with stakeholders. Develop and implement project budgets, oversee annual blanket purchase orders, and provide financial reports to ensure fiscal responsibility. Assist with local and national audits, provide regulatory oversight for financial accounts, and create frameworks for maximizing collaboration and long-term partnerships. Lead community outreach and serve as an ambassador to Veterans Service Organizations. Represent the Research Service Line in business negotiations and execute agreements, while monitoring receipts and expenditures for the annual research week and poster session. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Desired Qualifications
- At least five years of successful management level experience in VA research administration; relevant and up-to-date knowledge of research administration
- Skilled in federal or non-profit financial management with at least five years of experience
- Experience with regulatory audits
- US Military Veterans
