Job Summary
Lead commercial construction projects from early planning through delivery, managing client relationships, consultants, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Support preconstruction, constructability reviews, scope analysis, procurement, and project strategy while navigating complex stakeholder, design, permitting, and jurisdictional challenges. Mentor project managers, assistant project managers, and project engineers to drive project outcomes. This role targets technically complex projects including adaptive reuse, structural retrofit, urban infill, historic renovation, and civic work across the San Francisco Bay Area.
Required Qualifications
- Strong commercial GC experience in the San Francisco Bay Area
- Experience with complex projects rather than repetitive or straightforward builds
- Background in adaptive reuse, retrofit, structural upgrades, urban infill, historic, institutional, civic, or private negotiated work
- Strong financial, contractual, client-facing, and team leadership ability
- Comfortable stepping into a senior role without needing heavy training
