Job Summary
Own end-to-end delivery of complex projects and programmes, ensuring outcomes meet agreed scope, timeline, budget, quality, and governance standards. Create and manage high-level project plans identifying critical paths and dependencies while tracking progress, costs, and resources to produce clear status updates. Lead governance meetings, status reviews, and quality reviews to manage decisions, escalations, and corrective actions effectively. Serve as the key contact for clients, helping with their plans, identifying risks and dependencies, and providing consultancy on best practices for key project phases. Manage day-to-day client activities and escalations, thinking out of the box to minimize risk or impact to quality when delivery speed is required. Report onsite in Basildon to the Programme Director.
Required Qualifications
- A proven track record of delivering highly complex projects in a geographically dispersed business
- ideally with experience in rollout management
- A practical understanding of financial and commercial fundamentals
- focus on improving profitability
- reducing waste
- minimising expense within the role's remit
- Technical competency with Microsoft Project
- Technical competency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- experience with Jira
Desired Qualifications
- Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, APM or AgilePM
- Experience in technology and the payments industry
- Knowledge of payments, such as acquiring, cards, credit, debit, POS, SWIFT, BACS, CHAPS, ISO and SEPA
- Experience working with external clients, partners, vendors or third-party suppliers
