Senior Project Manager (Facilities Planning)

Job Summary
Conduct site surveys for clinical and administrative office sites, manage lease negotiations, and develop space plans for hospital renovations and new locations. Lead design and construction projects across Stony Brook Medicine facilities, including physician practices and ambulatory centers, by coordinating with trades, vendors, and contractors. Create bid documents, analyze proposals, and maintain project documentation while ensuring compliance with NYS procurement guidelines. Track time and materials to keep projects within funding constraints, initiate scope adjustments, and provide bi-monthly status briefings to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in hospital facilities planning or facilities and construction project management
- In lieu of degree, 10 years' experience in hospital or healthcare facilities planning, or facilities and construction project management
- Knowledge of NYSDOH, FGI, CMS, JCAHO and other regulatory processes
- Experience using ProjectMates or other project management software
- Strong analytical, organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong background in Excel
- Experience in data analytics
- Expertise in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must possess the ability to work independently, as well as in a group, and be a self-starter with minimal instruction and oversight
- Must be professional, organized and possess a strong attention to detail
- Must have the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Expertise in Microsoft Office is a must
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Prior Healthcare experience
- Experience with Project Management Software a plus
