Job Summary
Senior Project Manager for life science projects (lab/manufacturing spaces) leading complex construction initiatives from inception to turnover. Responsibilities include on-site project leadership, schedule and budget oversight, stakeholder meetings, risk management, and ensuring quality, safety (OSHA 1926 compliance), and regulatory alignment. Emphasizes collaboration, development of procedures and best practices, and leveraging technology/tools to drive project delivery. Must manage vendors (GC, A&E, security, safety) and coordinate with multiple service lines while maintaining client satisfaction and account profitability. Preference for professional certifications (LEED, AIA, PE, PMP, Six Sigma) and experience in regulated life science or healthcare construction. Travel as needed; on-site Cambridge, MA assignment with potential remote/hybrid considerations not indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 7-10+ years of relevant project or construction management experience, preferably in Life Sciences or highly regulated settings; 2-3 years as a senior project manager or similar preferred
- Life Science, Healthcare or Commercial Building construction PM experience preferred
- Familiarity with base building electrical, HVAC and mechanical infrastructure; experience with scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management and contract negotiations
- Experience leading teams, managing multiple projects across phases from identification to design, planning, client approval, permitting, construction, and closeout
- Knowledge of OSHA 1926 requirements and safety logs for contractors; certifications such as LEED, AIA, PE, PMP, or Six Sigma preferred
- Ability to travel 0-2 nights per month and work primarily at client site or project locations
- Strong communication and vendor management skills; ability to manage KPIs, budgets, and client relationships
