Job Summary
Senior Project Manager for FIRST, a global brand experience agency, supporting client and/or internal events and conferences across virtual, in-person, and hybrid formats. Responsibilities include full life-cycle event planning and execution, budget creation and management, site selection and contracts,Registration, transportation, hotel accommodations, AV, webcasts, staging, speaker management, vendor coordination, and post-event reconciliation. Travel for onsite events domestically or abroad as required. Lead and mentor a team (up to ~5 direct reports), collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Production, Event Technology, data teams, Legal/Compliance), and drive best practices, vendor relationships, and client satisfaction. Requires 8-10+ years’ experience in event management, strong Cvent and Microsoft Office proficiency, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in virtual, in-person, and hybrid settings. Location is hybrid in Jersey City, NJ, with potential changes to 5 days in-office. Required Qualifications
- 8-10+ years’ Event Management experience, preferably in the financial services industry or a corporate environment
- Advanced experience of events, conferences, meeting and production management
- Experience managing senior clients in planning and execution of events
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong proficiency working with Cvent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong client management skills with the ability to influence and lead by example
- Strong team player, able to co-plan with colleagues and the client on large scale programs
- Motivated, self-starter, ability to take direction and work independently; ability to think innovatively
- Experience managing a team of employees (optional but plus)
- Knowledge of venue and supplier management, contracts, and post-event reconciliation
