Senior Project Manager (Contract) - Infrastructure

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Microsoft Infrastructure and Cloud Transformation programmes for enterprise customers, managing Azure, M365, Security, and Identity initiatives across scope, schedule, and budget. Direct technical teams, architects, and vendors while overseeing project recovery, RAID logs, and governance adherence. Build trusted relationships with CIOs and executive stakeholders to align business objectives with technology outcomes and facilitate steering committees. Maintain oversight of project forecasts, profitability, and commercial dependencies. Mentor PMO staff and drive adoption of delivery methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud transformation projects
- Prince2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent Project Management certification
- Proven experience delivering complex Microsoft technology projects within large enterprise environments
- Strong experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams
- Proven track record delivering projects to agreed scope, budget and schedule
- Experience operating within Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong project planning, forecasting and financial management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Online
- Strong delivery leadership and programme management capability
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer engagement skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Infrastructure and Cloud technologies
- Exceptional planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong risk, issue and dependency management capability
- Commercially aware with strong financial management experience
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Results-oriented with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within a Microsoft Solutions Partner or IT Services organisation
- Experience delivering cloud migration and modern workplace transformation programmes
- Knowledge of Microsoft security solutions including Defender, Purview and Sentinel
- Experience using Projector PSA or similar Professional Services Automation tools
- Familiarity with Azure landing zones, cloud governance and operational readiness programmes
- Microsoft certifications such as: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Microsoft certifications such as: Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Microsoft certifications such as: Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
- Microsoft certifications such as: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)
- Experience delivering Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, Identity, Hybrid Infrastructure or Cloud Migration projects within enterprise customer environments
