Job Summary
Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation for large-scale construction projects from inception through completion. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure milestones are met while monitoring progress and mitigating risks. Manage client relationships through regular updates and contract negotiations to optimize cost efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Prepare detailed reports on project status and financials for senior management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in construction project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
- Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must successfully complete a background, credit check, and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
- Experience with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes
- Familiarity with advanced construction technologies and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience working on federal or large public infrastructure projects
