Job Summary
Lead complex, cross-functional workstreams for the Cedar River Generation Station by managing initiation, planning, development, risk, and closure of large-sized projects across multiple business units. Utilize Alliant Energy project management methodologies to establish costs, resources, timelines, and technical objectives while ensuring work completion to specifications and on schedule. Manage applicable project contracts, develop stakeholder communication plans, and mentor team members in organizational change management and business consulting support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of experience in project management managing medium to large sized, complex project
- Certification achievement of a Project Management Professional certification within 12 months of employment
- Ability to analyze and solve problems of a moderate nature and implement an effective solution
- Ability to organize large project plans and effectively document accordingly
- Demonstrated ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with a minimum of direction
- Demonstrated effective leadership and team skills
- Ability to develop and apply performance measures
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management)
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Background in electrical systems, commercial construction, or infrastructure
- Must be able to travel to job sites
- Must be able to support future projects located across our service territory including Wisconsin
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Prior power plant experience
