Job Summary
Senior Project Manager with a Commercial Construction background leads end-to-end project execution in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities include managing large-scale or multiple projects, building client and subcontractor relationships, maintaining project cost accounting and schedules, coordinating with preconstruction for value engineering and bidding, negotiating major subcontractor agreements, reviewing and approving pay applications and vendor invoices, tracking change management, supervising site activities, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with a focus on quality and safety. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of experience in engineering/construction, strong communication, and a proven record of delivering multimillion-dollar projects. Proficiency in CPM scheduling and construction management software, and a commitment to equal opportunity employment are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree
- Five plus years of experience in engineering, construction, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven success in the completion of multimillion-dollar projects
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Ability to develop and manage project cost accounting, scheduling, and budgets
- Experience with CPM Scheduling Programs and Construction Management Software
