Job Summary
Inspire and lead multiple high-performing project teams to deliver capital projects across Newfoundland and Labrador, from commercial buildings to infrastructure and Indigenous community initiatives. Provide strategic leadership guiding clients through every phase from initial setup to operations, acting as a trusted partner to navigate design, construction, and operations complexities. Build lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders while mentoring Designated and Assistant Project Managers. Oversee project documentation to ensure compliance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System and procedures. Shape the future of the Atlantic business unit by contributing to strategic growth and expanding industry impact.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record with 8+ years of project management experience representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of projects of varying size and scope in a range of sectors such as institutional, healthcare, educational or commercial mixed-use
- Demonstrating your ability to lead complex, high-impact initiatives
- Deep expertise in design, construction, and operations
- Strong understanding of how to navigate the challenges of institutional projects across sectors like education, civic, and infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of various types of construction methodologies, project management models and financial management
- Knowledge of building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
- Clear understanding of best practice Project Management methodologies and procedures within a PMO environment
- Effective client management, people management leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues
- Strong financial acumen
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and ensuring cost-effective delivery
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent designation
- Educational background in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Business Administration, or a related field
- Showcasing your strong foundation in project management, design, and construction principles
- Proven success in business development
- Experience closing new deals, winning high-profile projects, and confidently leading client interviews
- Exceptional detail orientation
- Organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet tight deadlines and client expectations
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills
- Working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project)
- Word processing (Word)
- Spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
- Currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis

Desired Qualifications
- Clear understanding of best practice Project Management methodologies and procedures within a PMO environment is an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent designation is highly valued
- Demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence
- You will be asked to work towards obtaining the Project Management Professional Designation (PMP) through the Project Management Institute within your first year
- Expert in client and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence key decision-makers and resolve a variety of challenges, whether commercial, technical, or interpersonal
- Maintaining focus on project objectives and ensuring smooth coordination
- Experience working with First Nations and local authorities in Newfoundland and Labrador is considered a strong asset
