Job Summary
Initiate and maintain liaison with prime clients to facilitate construction activities for industrial projects ranging from water/wastewater plants to data centers. Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards while directing and coordinating project engineers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget. Lead the project team in daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedules, and monthly safety kickoffs, and manage financial aspects of contracts including project profit or loss. Review status reports to modify schedules and plans as needed, and prepare project reports for management and clients. Coordinate activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors, and mentor team members regarding career development.
Required Qualifications
- Power and Industrial experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 8+ years' experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management
- Large construction experience
- Understand and interpret safety laws and company policies/standards
- Apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Business oriented person
- Ability to assure responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others
- Understand and is able to analyze and execute CPM-based project schedules
