Job Summary
Lead and manage civil construction projects ranging from $50,000 to $20 million, overseeing delivery from pre-construction through close-out. Collaborate with clients, consultants, and municipalities to ensure contract compliance while directing site superintendents, estimators, and coordinators. Monitor budgets, schedules, and quality control, and lead tendering, contract negotiations, and change order management. Champion health and safety, risk mitigation, and environmental compliance while resolving technical challenges and reporting performance to senior leadership. Report to senior leadership and stakeholders with a focus on financial performance and team mentoring.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in civil construction
- at least 3 years in a senior PM role
- Proven delivery of roadworks, bridge, excavation, or deep utility (sewer/watermain) projects
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (CCDC, MTO, municipal)
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar)
