Senior Project Manager - Building Assessment Equity Services

Job Summary

Conduct forensic assessments of major building systems and distressed conditions, taking photos of site and building system conditions. Perform property condition assessments for diverse commercial property types, including multifamily, office, and industrial assets. Monitor new construction or renovation projects by participating in site visits, reviewing contractor requisitions, and recommending fund releases. Assist with energy and ADA audits while conducting public records research on zoning and fire code violations. Train and mentor junior project managers, deliver clear condition reports using in-house templates, and interact with clients during site visits and conference calls. Manage multiple projects under strict deadlines while maintaining detailed technical writing proficiency and cost estimating skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 to 12+ years of previous experience performing forensic assessments of major building systems and conditions
  • Knowledge and experience in assessing various property types
  • Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types
  • Previous construction administration, construction management, architecture, engineering or similar experience
  • Previous experience performing PCAs or related projects
  • Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines and Property Needs Assessments
  • Passion for being detail oriented and organized
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Advanced writing and communication skills
  • Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
  • Willingness to travel if necessary
  • Self-starter, resourceful, and the ability to work productively and independently on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders to access two and three story, low-slope roofs
  • Ability to work outside and navigate stairs, sites, and building interiors
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction required

Desired Qualifications

  • Registered Architect (R.A.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred
