Senior Project Manager - Building Assessment Equity Services

Job Summary

Conduct forensic assessments of major building systems and distressed conditions, taking site photos and performing property condition assessments across diverse commercial property types. Manage multiple projects by conducting basic interviews, researching public records for code violations, and monitoring construction progress to recommend maintenance strategies and fund releases. Train junior project managers, serve as team leads during complex site visits, and deliver clear status reports using in-house templates while interacting directly with clients and professionals. Requires 8 to 12+ years of experience in construction management or architecture, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture, and the ability to travel and work in various weather conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 to 12+ years of previous experience performing forensic assessments of major building systems and conditions
  • Knowledge and experience in assessing various property types
  • Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types
  • Previous construction administration, construction management, architecture, engineering or similar experience
  • Previous experience performing PCAs or related projects
  • Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines and Property Needs Assessments
  • Passion for being detail oriented and organized
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Advanced writing and communication skills
  • Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
  • Willingness to travel if necessary
  • Self-starter, resourceful, and the ability to work productively and independently on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders to access two and three story, low-slope roofs
  • Ability to work outside and navigate stairs, sites, and building interiors
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction required

Desired Qualifications

  • Registered Architect (R.A.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred
