Senior Project Manager - Building Assessment Equity Services

Job Summary

Conduct forensic assessments of major building systems and distressed conditions, taking photos of site and building system conditions while performing basic interviews and research on property maintenance history. Manage multiple projects by conducting periodic site visits to monitor construction, reviewing contractor requisitions for payment, and recommending fund releases. Make recommendations for maintenance and probable costs using internal libraries, write clear condition and status reports, and perform public records research on zoning and fire code violations. Participate in conference calls with clients and train junior Project Managers. Requires 8 to 12+ years of experience in building assessments, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction, and the ability to travel.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 to 12+ years of previous experience performing forensic assessments of major building systems and conditions
  • Knowledge and experience in assessing various property types
  • Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types
  • Previous construction administration, construction management, architecture, engineering or similar experience
  • Previous experience performing PCAs or related projects
  • Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines and Property Needs Assessments
  • Passion for being detail oriented and organized
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Advanced writing and communication skills
  • Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
  • Willingness to travel if necessary
  • Self-starter, resourceful, and the ability to work productively and independently on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders to access two and three story, low-slope roofs
  • Ability to work outside and navigate stairs, sites, and building interiors
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction required

Desired Qualifications

  • Registered Architect (R.A.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred
