Senior Project Manager, Bridge Engineer - Practice Builder

Job Summary

Define and execute the vision for the Bridge practice, driving business development to secure new work from local and existing clients. Supervise and lead design projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability while mentoring a team of Structural Engineers and CADD Technicians. Manage resource allocation and seamless project transitions, leveraging industry connections to expand market presence. Uphold integrity and operational excellence within a performance-based environment offering base salary plus bonuses. Based in Akron, Cincinnati, or Columbus, OH, this role supports the firm's growth in the Bridge space with full backing from a Fortune 100 Best employer.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum experience of 10 years of progressive bridge design experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state for which you are applying
  • Have a BS (MS preferred) from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Strong communication, leadership and technical skills necessary to lead a team of Structural Engineers and CADD Technicians in production to meet client goals
  • Evident background in the development of plans, specifications and estimates for design of new, replacement and rehabilitation of highway bridges, including analysis, design calculations, plan production, material specification and quality control

Desired Qualifications

  • MS preferred
  • Seismic design experience
  • Design of pile and drilled shaft supported foundation systems
  • Experience utilizing software programs for general structural analysis, as well as, the design of superstructure and substructure components
