Job Summary
Senior Project Manager in aviation construction responsible for profitably managing all administrative and field construction activities to quality standards on assigned projects. Oversees multiple medium-sized projects or a large/complex scope, demonstrates leadership, and ensures adherence to contracts, budgets, and safety plans. Duties include preparing and managing schedules, executing change orders and subcontracts, generating monthly status reports and owner billings, identifying value engineering opportunities, coordinating preconstruction efforts, managing the buy-out process, addressing constructability issues, and mentoring staff. Requires a college degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), at least 5 years of construction/project-management experience (aviation experience preferred), and proficiency with project-management tools and MS Office. Travel is involved; the company offers comprehensive benefits and an AA/EOE environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: industry-related college degree is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience, including project management experience
- Aviation experience highly preferred
- Ability to lead, teach, develop and mentor others
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, Asta) and Microsoft Office Suite
