Job Summary
Oversee major construction projects by planning, scheduling, and coordinating all phases while managing a large staff of employee-owners. Direct preconstruction activities, including plan development, value engineering, and bid solicitation, then assume responsibility for startup logistics such as site security and utility connections. Perform detailed subcontractor bid reviews, award contracts, and ensure all bonds and insurance are in place. Ensure contract compliance through frequent work inspections, approve payments and invoices, and manage cost accounting systems to track variances. Develop master construction schedules, negotiate change orders, and verify pricing impacts. Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and municipal laws and safety protocols while fostering team collaboration and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment)
- Proficient in project manager software
- Proficient with cost projection, scheduling, financial analysis, budget reviews and labor reports
- Ability to build and manage multiple high performing teams
