Job Summary

Lead large, high-impact, multidisciplinary audio-visual integration projects by managing execution across Engineering, Fabrication, Field Services, and Operations. Establish project structure and discipline through leading execution cadence, managing interdependencies, and maintaining visibility into risks while mentoring Associate Project Managers. Oversee budgets, forecasts, and margin performance to ensure projects are delivered profitably, proactively identifying risks to protect schedule and financial outcomes. Serve as the single point of responsibility for client satisfaction, ensuring timely billings and communicating decision options to stakeholders in high-pressure environments. Navigate complex variables between system design, site conditions, and widely varying stakeholder expectations through strong verbal and written communication. Work in a collaborative, flexible environment with frequent travel by car and occasional air travel, requiring local site visits within a two-hour driving distance.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a project manager in commercial construction trades or AV commercial settings
  • Deep knowledge and experience with audio/video systems
  • Knowledgeable of low voltage electrical projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Supervisory and people skills
  • Ability and skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political and people-related problems
  • Great people leadership skills
  • Strong financial background in project cost accounting
  • High level of both written and verbal communication skills
  • Focused on clients and able to understand how they can use technology from Diversified to meet their business needs

  • Ability to spend at least 40% of time on feet and mobile around construction site
  • Ability to be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis
  • Ability to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC
  • Use of PPE is usually required on job sites
  • Ability to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects
  • Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips
  • Local travel to job sites (within a 2 hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times
  • 10% remote travel is required on a regular basis
  • Employee will be required to use their own vehicle

Desired Qualifications

  • A PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
  • AVIXA CTS certification
  • Other relevant certifications based on the technology focus of the position
