Job Summary
Lead complex architectural and interior design projects from inception through completion, serving as the primary client contact for major engagements. Drive business development by cultivating client relationships, leading pursuit strategies, and collaborating on fee proposals and contracts. Oversee multiple project teams, manage staffing plans, and coordinate architects, designers, and contractors while ensuring alignment of design quality, schedule, and budget. Mentor project managers and coordinators on leadership and technical execution, and resolve construction administration issues to maintain client confidence. Work on-site in Indianapolis, IN, with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture required and 10+ years of experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- 10+ years of experience in architectural design and project management, including leadership of large-scale projects
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and client relationships
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and consultant coordination
- Ability to interpret contracts and manage risk effectively
- Physical demands: Extended computer use and document review
- Physical demands: Frequent verbal presentations and client meetings
- Physical demands: Occasional site visits requiring PPE and light physical activity
- Physical demands: Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds
