Senior Project Manager, Advanced Operations

Job Summary

Lead cross-functional teams through the entire project lifecycle for the Advanced Operations New Product Introduction, developing a cutting-edge console for the Neurosurgical Business Unit. Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and the Work Breakdown Structure while managing stakeholder relationships with R&D, Marketing, and Manufacturing Operations. Drive new product, process, and technology introductions into the manufacturing environment by developing robust supply chains with contract manufacturers and executing comprehensive risk management plans. Estimate, acquire, and assign cross-functional resources, define team member deliverables, and provide direct feedback on performance reviews. Maintain strong focus on customer needs, quality, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent
  • 6+ years of project management or engineering experience in a regulated industry
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid technical foundation, with experience in process validation, risk management, and project scheduling tools
  • Drives results in support of the business, even in the face of demanding timelines
  • Steps up to take on additional responsibility where appropriate
  • Understand and communicate how goals fit into broader organizational goals and prioritize tasks/schedule accordingly
  • Growth mindset – ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment
  • Must be onsite in Kalamazoo, MI
  • Must be available for 20% travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred PMP certification (or strong interest in achieving it)
  • Demonstrated Leadership, Project Management and Engineering experience in New Product Introduction in a regulated environment
  • Background in new product introduction (NPI) or design-to-commercialization programs
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and/or multiple suppliers and supply chains
