Senior Project Lead - Interconnection & Delivery

Job Summary
Develop and verify transmission power system models, including power-flow, short-circuit, and dynamic analyses, using vendor and client-supplied data. Perform transmission system studies with industry-accepted software to assess performance and NERC compliance for generator interconnection and deliverability. Evaluate compliance with regional standards, lead project subtasks, and deliver accurate project outputs to supervisors. Provide representation at RTO/ISO workgroups and support RFP evaluations and filings for state commissions and FERC. This role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Power Engineering and minimum four years of transmission planning experience. Full-time, fully remote position with limited domestic travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or Power Engineering, preferred degree from an ABET (Accreditation for Engineering and Technology) certified school
- Minimum 4 years of relevant transmission planning/interconnection/modeling, and/or generation interconnection/modeling work experience
- Relevant working experience with power system modeling software tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSS/MUST, TARA
- Transmission planning experience on bulk power systems
- Familiarity with design, planning or operation of distribution and/or transmission facilities
- Familiarity with RTO or non-RTO interconnection and planning requirements
- Familiarity with NERC reliability standards requirements associated with planning, rating, and modeling of transmission and generation facilities
- Ability to read and interpret electrical distribution and/or transmission one-lines and associated equipment specifications
- Ability to perform and interpret results of steady-state power-flow and short-circuit studies and/or transient stability studies with minimal supervision/direction
- Ability to interpret findings and share consolidated steady-state or transient-state study results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and able to work on multiple projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Relevant working experience with other computer programs such as Microsoft Office
- Domestic travel of up to 10%
