Job Summary
Senior-level project leadership opportunity for a Project II or Senior Project Geologist/Environmental Scientist to oversee complex environmental projects across GA, AL, SC, and FL. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing work plans, technical documents, and client proposals; developing scopes for environmental assessment and remediation projects; conducting field visits; reviewing vendor proposals and invoices; writing project reports and final deliverables; and performing business development. Ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in geology/hydrogeology/environmental science, 5+ years of relevant consulting experience, familiarity with environmental regulations, and willingness to travel in the eastern US. Strong technical writing, communication, budgeting, and leadership skills required. Candidate should be capable of coordinating with clientele and regulatory agencies, ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery, and contributing to safety and staff development. The role involves Monday–Friday regular hours with some travel/overnight/weekend work, and opportunities for advancement within Broadbent & Associates, an environmental remediation, water resources, and civil engineering firm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, earth, or environmental science
- Professional Geologist (PG) certification (preferred)
- Five or more years of relevant experience in geological assessments, water supply/remediation, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation/remediation, permitting or compliance projects
- Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations
- Ability to travel within the eastern regional US
- Consulting experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and budgets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical writing competency
- Experience with budget preparation and tracking
- Willingness to conduct business development activities
- Ability to interact with regulatory agencies and clients
