Job Summary

Schedule and lead coordination meetings with subcontractors and design teams while inspecting the construction site daily to manage subcontractors against contract documents. Coordinate all submittals, review designs and shop drawings for compliance, and resolve drawing interpretation problems by initiating and processing RFIs. Manage the project close-out process, including document collection, organization, and archiving, while preparing status reports, punch lists, and material requirement calculations. Analyze risks based on submittal responses and establish project metrics for tracking document control. Perform quantity takeoffs and ensure vendor information supports delivery schedules within Procore. Assist the Project Manager in setting up document control protocols and interpreting codes and technical manuals as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Working knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment
  • Assigned discipline design and overall engineering standards
  • Experience with large commercial projects
  • Healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, science & technology
  • Computer skills with the ability to use MS Office Suite with proficiency
  • Strong Excel
  • OBDC
  • Familiar with data mining platforms
  • Bluebeam
  • Working knowledge of Procore or similar construction software
  • Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading
  • Working knowledge of scheduling and estimating software
  • Proficient understanding of Primavera P6
  • Ability to be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough in day-to-day tasks
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex construction process problems and issues

  • Ability to assist Project Manager in project setup to establish document control administration protocol, including establishing and documenting processes and procedures
  • Ability to manage the project close-out process, including document collection, organization, turnover, and project archiving
  • Must be eligible to work to the U.S. without visa sponsorship or transfers now or in the future

  • Ability to understand and manage all Submittals, RFIs, Close Out, Punch List, Emergency Logistic Plans, and all other document processes to/from consultants, owners, and subcontractors
