Job Summary
Direct and independently complete assigned engineering designs for land development, stormwater, wastewater, traffic, and structural projects. Act as Project Manager on smaller scopes or specialty projects by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and supervising field personnel. Pro-actively identify technical, schedule, or financial issues, recommend change orders, and prepare project addenda. Independently communicate with clients, assist in bidding or contractor selection, and sign and seal engineering documents as an authorized representative. This role requires a P.E. or L.S. and seven+ years of design experience. Salary range is $100,000-$150,000. Timmons Group is a full-service engineering firm recognized as a Best Firm to Work For.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience
- Seven or more years of design/engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to act as an authorized agent of the company to sign engineering documents
- Capability to correctly operate technical analysis equipment and computer equipment
- Strong technical verbal and technical writing skills
- Ability to read technical literature and engineering plans
- Two-way communication skills to effectively work with internal staff and external clients
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to apply professional knowledge to the solution of both routine and non-routine tasks and engineering activities
- Maturity, professionalism, and a willingness to solve internal and external client problems
- High energy, creative, flexible, patient, self-starters mindset

Desired Qualifications
- Professional registration (P.E., L.S.) in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business
