Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary
Manage all aspects of power systems, industrial engine, and UPS projects from award to completion, including sizing units, developing specifications, and providing Autocad drawings for submittals. Review project submittals and vendor information for compliance, then conduct site visits to survey needs and resolve problems with sales representatives, customers, and contractors. Provide technical support, perform pre-startup and onsite startup inspections, coordinate with the Service Department, and host factory training events. Maintain detailed communications and records while driving to worksites.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of generators, engines, switchgear, automatic transfer switches and UPS units
- Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills
- Ability to quickly acquire the following required Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of electrical codes
- Understanding of AC power and DC control power
- Ability to read/understand drawings and specifications
- Understanding of ancillary items: fuel systems, cooling systems, Scada systems, etc.
- Understanding of PLCs and communication protocols
