Job Summary
Oversee project development, design, and construction from start to finish for utilities, roadways, bridges, and drainage systems. Compute quantities, prepare construction documents, and verify accuracy of daily reports while maintaining project records. Review designs and contract documents for conformance with County Ordinances, standards, and policies. Coordinate efforts with other agencies and supervise professional consultants. Conduct on-site inspections, perform lighting and traffic studies, and ensure compliance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. This role involves managing capital improvement plans and special assessment districts. Perform duties 50% indoors and 50% outdoors, utilizing CAD equipment and County vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field as recognized by the State Board of professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
- Nine (9) years of related work experience in an engineering or construction role
- Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license by the date of hire and maintenance of a valid license while employed in this position
- Successful completion of a post-offer employment medical examination and background investigation
- Adherence to all County safety guidelines
- Complete all FEMA training(s) assigned to this position
- Complete required supervisor training, if applicable
