Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer with systems engineering focus leading a cross-functional team in defence-oriented hardware-led NPI projects. Responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to engineers and support personnel, owning technical deliverables and risk management, coordinating design review gates, drafting and overseeing project documents, interfacing with Project Manager, customers, and contracts, and driving process and product improvements. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, 10+ years of related experience, and strong communication and managerial skills. Experience with electronics hardware development is essential; familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred. Must meet Canadian security requirements and be eligible to work in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or applicable scientific discipline is required
- 10+ years of related engineering experience
- Proven experience with electronics hardware-oriented product development NPI
- Experience with Display products considered an asset
- It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.
