Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer (Structural) to join the Water/Wastewater team as a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) working out of multiple Florida offices. Responsible for performing calculations and developing drawings and technical specifications for structural analyses and design of foundation, containment, and building framing across water infrastructure projects (water treatment, wastewater treatment, water distribution, and wastewater collection/pumping). Prepare/edit technical memoranda and cost estimates; participate in construction administration and shop drawing reviews; conduct on-site visits as needed; coordinate with a project team of engineers and discipline leads; manage tasks across concurrent projects within budget and schedule. Requires advanced degrees, Florida PE licensure, and 15+ years in municipal water/wastewater design; knowledge of applicable codes and standards (Florida Building Code, ASCE 7-22, ACI 318-19/350-20, AISC 303-22/360-22, TMS 402/602-22); ability to work independently and as part of a team; willingness to travel to various Florida offices.
Required Qualifications
- BSCE and Masters of Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida
- Successful completion of NCEES Structural Engineering 16-hour PE exam
- 15+ years of experience in municipal water and wastewater design
- Proficient knowledge of 2023 Florida Building Code, Building Eighth Edition, ASCE 7-22, ACI 318-19, ACI 350-20, AISC 303-22, AISC 360-22, TMS 402/602-22
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle, drug screen, and criminal record
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and independently
