Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary
Generate RFIs and track approvals while monitoring shop drawing logs and verifying dimensions against field conditions. Coordinate vendor and subcontractor deliveries, maintain updated plans, and manage punchlist inspections with the Owner and Project Manager. Prepare construction meeting agendas, minutes, and weekly schedules; develop subcontractor RFP bid forms and evaluate bid spreadsheets. Control budgets, award and negotiate subcontracts, and prepare profit projections under supervision on selected small projects. Support estimating processes by preparing quantity take-offs and monitor subcontractor schedules relative to material deliveries and manpower. Travel as needed to execute projects across the US.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of successful commercial construction experience in a design-build environment
- A bachelor's degree in construction engineering/management
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems
- Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing
- Minimum six month jobsite experience before moving on to Project Management or Field Career Path
- Willingness to travel, and/or relocate, as needed to execute projects
