Job Summary
Lead combustion system development projects by interfacing with Supply Chain, Gas Turbine Conversions, and Field Services teams to drive engineering and technical project management activities. Generate schedules, identify critical path activities, and align resources for on-time delivery of designs, manufactured parts, and procurement. Setup and coordinate design and risk reviews to highlight top project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and address action items. Design Industrial Gas Turbine Engine components and systems to meet performance criteria such as combustion stability, emissions, and life. Support sales and tendering with project cost estimates and provide direction for site walkdown support during the bid phase. Report project status and milestones to upper management while refining or developing engineering procedures for continuous efficiency and quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Equivalent industry experience will also be considered
- Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix'
- 10+ years of applicable experience in the GT industry
- 5+ years of experience related to Gas Turbine product development
- Strong analytical decision-making and organizational skills
- Experience with 3D CAD software – Creo, NX, Solidworks
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, general machining and fabrication techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong skills with MS Office programs. Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to perform hands-on fieldwork is strongly desired
- Field work and travel may be required (up to 20%)
