Job Summary

Manage day-to-day administration of interior systems projects from turnover through closeout, overseeing project controls, client communication, subcontractor coordination, and change management. Perform labor control setup, tracking, and forecasting; prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings; complete quantity takeoffs to support procurement and pricing. Develop project schedules, coordinate field operations, and monitor financial performance through job cost reports and variance analysis. Procure materials and equipment while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting QA/QC initiatives. Utilize D365, Labor Control, Procore, and Clearstory systems to manage execution, ensure safety compliance, and mentor junior engineers. Identify risks early to protect schedule, budget, and quality.

Required Qualifications

  • at least 4-7 years' experience managing construction projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned
  • Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines
  • Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Local to San Diego
  • Willing to travel or relocate based on project needs

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
  • Experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings, wall panels, exterior cladding systems, plater and other interior and exterior architectural specialty scope
  • Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
  • OSHA certification
