Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer for an Owner’s Representative role on a major gas infrastructure capital program. Phase 1 is remote with bi-weekly travel to Houston, then transition to a field assignment in Santa Clarita, CA. Embeds with the utility’s project execution team, serving as the technical and coordination lead between the client and their engineering partner. Responsibilities include representing the owner’s interests, coordinating with third-party engineering organizations, reviewing drawings/submittals, monitoring schedule/budget, ensuring regulatory conformity, interfacing with stakeholders/vendors/contractors, and supporting construction/commissioning activities. Requires substantial EPC execution experience in gas compression, storage, or related energy infrastructure, with preference for prior natural gas utility project experience. Travel to Houston bi-weekly is required; field work will occur in CA.
Required Qualifications
- 7 or more years of experience in project engineering roles
- gas compression, storage, or analogous capital-scale energy infrastructure
- Availability to travel to Houston, TX on a bi-weekly basis for the duration of the assignment
