Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer – Owner’s Representative role embedding within a utility’s project execution team. Lead as the owner’s engineer on a major gas compression modernization program, coordinating with an external engineering partner and the client utility. Will travel bi-weekly to Houston, oversee deliverables, monitor schedule, scope, and budget, review engineering drawings and submittals, interface with utility stakeholders and vendors, and support construction and commissioning activities at the Santa Clarita gas storage facility upon mobilization. Phase 1 is remote with bi-weekly travel to Houston; Phase 2 shifts to a field assignment at the Santa Clarita facility. Requires substantial EPC execution experience in gas compression/storage or related energy infrastructure and ability to manage technical reviews and project coordination across multiple project phases.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in project engineering roles with gas compression, storage, or analogous capital-scale energy infrastructure
- Background in gas compression, gas storage, or closely related energy infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to represent the owner’s perspective and manage third-party engineering organizations
- Availability to travel to Houston, TX on a bi-weekly basis for the duration of the assignment
