Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct continuous field walk-throughs to monitor contractor performance, ensuring work matches drawings and specifications for the ADR plant, heap leach pad, and solution systems. Verify construction quality meets project standards, document daily progress, and capture site photographs while tracking life-of-mine sustaining capital expenditures against authorized budgets. Manage submittal, RFI, and transmittal logs to ensure crews work off latest engineering revisions, process contractor change orders, and actively monitor compliance with MSHA standards and cyanide containment protocols. Coordinate equipment readiness and operator training with mine operations during transitions. Requires ten+ years in mining project execution, domestic travel, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction engineering or equivalent field experience
- Ten or more years of experience in engineering or project execution within the mining industry
- Five or more years of experience in project management, preferably leading large-scale capital projects
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary, heavy construction projects, including project commissioning
- Proven ability to oversee field construction activities while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and project schedules
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Extensive field construction experience with a strong commitment to health and safety
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level or higher)
- Ability to travel domestically
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
- Must possess a valid driver's license
