Job Summary
Develop new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel while establishing and monitoring engineering project budgets and schedules. Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses, preparing successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical documentation. Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program and consult on new product and market development efforts. Guide and operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals, assisting in interviewing, training, and counseling junior engineers. This role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of project engineering lead experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering
- depth of understanding achieved through experience in the design, analysis, and development of complex systems
- Proven record of successful development programs working as a part of a project team
- at least 5 years of experience in a project engineering lead role
- ability to travel domestically and internationally (10-15%)
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- General knowledge in areas of Root Cause / Corrective Action
- General knowledge in areas of LEAN
- General knowledge in areas of Project Planning
- General knowledge in areas of APQP
- General knowledge in areas of Facility and Product line layout
- General knowledge in areas of set up and transfer
- General knowledge in areas of Data Acquisition and Analysis
- access to US Export Controlled Information
- ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
