Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer for healthcare projects responsible for administering the field office to achieve project profitability and schedule goals. Key duties include attending and documenting project meetings, document control (filing, logs, drawings, specs), coordinating submittals and RFI processes, maintaining CPM schedules and master schedules, expediting logs, quantity verification for labor cost reports, cost coding on time sheets, preparing extra work orders, assembling change orders, maintaining logs and logs (RFI, submittals, expediting), maintaining close-out documents (O&M manuals, as-builts), progress photos, and punch list completion. Requires an Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree or Construction Management Certificate Program, with a minimum of 2 years as a Project Engineer; field experience desirable; strong drafting/computer skills; proficient in reading plans, coordinating with subcontractors, and communicating in English. Experience with CPM scheduling, CMIC, and document control is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years as Project Engineer
- Field experience desirable – e.g. carpenter
- Basic estimating and scheduling skills
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Effective written and verbal English language communication skills
- Ability to use independent judgment; self-starting
- Drafting and computer skills desirable
