Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer responsible for field and project engineering, quality control, contract administration, shop drawing and submittal review, schedule review, and related support functions for Gafcon’s Project and Construction Management Team. The role includes leadership within the project team, coordination of design drawings and specifications, submittal reviews, PMIS document control, management of consultants and bid processes, cost estimation collaboration, bid package preparation, and coordination of project schedules and closeout, while ensuring adherence to Gafcon’s standards and client expectations. Strong emphasis on technical leadership, cross-functional coordination, and a commitment to quality and safety in construction programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering (AEC) or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in design and/or construction experience preferred
- Certified Associate Construction Manager (CACM) certification preferred
- Working knowledge of the principals of the construction process, plan review, cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration required
- Accurately interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine cost
- Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing cost estimates
- Proficient oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with diverse backgrounds of all levels and disciplines
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients, and others in contact with the job
- Strong customer service skills, ability to assess customer needs, and ensure delivery/receipt of service when appropriate
- Efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and knowledgeable with PMIS (Unifier, Prolog, Procore, PM Web, and/or eBuilder). P6, AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is preferred

- As a condition of employment Gafcon PM-CM LLC will require proof of your legal ability to work in the United States and conduct a background check
