Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer overseeing MEPFP fieldwork on large projects; serves as the key field lead for MEPFP investigations, testing, and commissioning; coordinates across the design team and balance client relationships with project financial goals. Responsibilities include reading construction documents, preparing project-specific inspection/test scripts, directing equipment and system-level testing, recording results and discrepancies, interpreting industry standards (ASHRAE, LEED, WELL), ensuring processes meet certification requirements, approving equipment performance data, conducting site surveys, and maintaining knowledge of local Building Codes. Requires ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree, 4+ years’ experience, professional certifications (e.g., LEED, CCP, CEM), and proficiency with MEP design tools (Revit, AutoCAD) and energy/building codes. Hybrid work arrangement with NYC-based office; compensation range $105,000–$120,000 base salary; comprehensive benefits including 401k match and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline from an ABET accredited program
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience
- Specific dedicated Retro-Cx experiences, LL87 experience
- Holds a professional certification title (LEED, CCP, CEM, etc.)
- Has understanding of all trades scope of project
- Has advanced understanding of firm/team production capacity in establishing and maintaining project deliverables
- Has a fundamental understanding of miscellaneous design software tools applicable to MEP design (such as Revit and AutoCAD)
- Has advanced understanding of Energy and Building Codes as they relate to Field services
