Job Summary
Manage complex projects related to regulatory compliance of building products and assemblies, including witnessing testing at the laboratory and performing audits and product sampling at client manufacturing facilities. Develop in-depth knowledge of building codes by research, work on engineering evaluations for regulatory compliance in Canada and US markets, and prepare technical documentation derived from test results. Help write compliance research reports, create Listing reports, manage QA programs, and collaborate with sales, laboratory, and technical teams to support seamless project execution. Interact with clients, accreditors, and Authority Having Jurisdiction to resolve matters, participate in industry committees and standards development activities, and promote new business opportunities. This role requires a P.ENG with a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in technical writing and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in technical writing, regulatory compliance, and familiarity with the testing, inspection, and certification industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership and team building skills
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
- Microsoft Office software expertise
- Valid driver's license
- Be able to travel within Canada and USA
- P.ENG is required
