Senior Project Engineer - Electrical Engineering

Job Summary
Design electrical engineering projects for higher-education, industrial, commercial, and public works sectors, including preliminary studies, cost estimates, and final report development. Collaborate with project managers to define scope, develop strategies, manage resources, and oversee project quality from design through contract administration. Direct production of deliverables, conduct status reviews, and sign/seal work products as a Registered Professional Engineer. Perform site investigations, select materials and equipment, and analyze project issues to recommend cost-effective solutions while maintaining professional licensure and staying abreast of industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architectural, electrical (building systems background) engineering or related engineering field
- 4-8 years engineering experience in appropriate discipline
- E.I.T.
- Must obtain professional licensure in the states required by company as soon as possible
- Must be able to travel on occasion
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle on public roads
- Must have acceptable driving records
- Must provide an authorization to the Company to periodically obtain MVR reports
- Must pass the pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to complete the drug screen within 48 hours of being contacted
- Detailed knowledge of Electrical Systems design including riser/one-line diagrams, power distribution, electrical service size calculations, lighting design and cost estimates
- Familiarity with building code requirements and working with authority having jurisdiction
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or REVIT computer software
Desired Qualifications
- Writing Electrical project specifications, SpecLink familiarity
- Knowledge/experience of AutoCAD, REVIT and related design software
- P.E.
- Ability to embrace new technology and processes including learning other software programs as needed (Adobe, Bluebeam, Deltek Vision accounting and project planning software, Client Relationship Management software, etc.)
- Must obtain professional licensure in the states required by company as soon as possible
