Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer to lead delivery of key infrastructure projects within Downer’s Energy and Utilities team in Christchurch. You will manage projects up to NZD 15 million, ensure technical excellence, contractual compliance and strong commercial performance, and build relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will oversee delivery teams, drive Three Waters construction initiatives, and contribute to leadership development while maintaining a Zero Harm safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience at Senior Project Engineer level or above
- Proven experience delivering Three Waters construction projects
- Relevant engineering qualification
- Strong knowledge across planning scheduling quality and cost control
- Experience managing multiple projects and optimising resources
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to coach and develop teams
- Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving capability
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Commitment to driving a Zero Harm culture
