Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer (Civils) to lead design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural components for a major aviation project in the Greater London area. Responsibilities include field investigations, client interviews, and determining work scope and cost estimates; guiding design through Bechtel procedures, BSAPs, DCCLs, and DRNs; designing structures using advanced structural analysis (statics, dynamics, materials), selecting appropriate materials (steel, wood, masonry, concrete) based on load requirements; producing complex deliverables (steel/concrete calculations, material requisitions), developing conceptual designs, preparing discipline estimates and work plans, interpreting regulations and standards, and mentoring civil/structural personnel; requires at least a bachelor’s degree and substantial relevant experience. This position is part-time telework with a requirement for at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or international equivalent
- 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
- Strong design and analysis capability in civil/structural engineering
- Experience with design standards and project controls
- Mentorship or leadership experience in civil/structural teams
- Ability to conduct field investigations and client interviews
- Proven ability to develop conceptual designs and major deliverables
